About the Journal

We, from the Cognitionis Scientific Journal, understand that academic knowledge is extremely important, as it is the result of deep and systematic study in various areas. It is this knowledge that allows us to better understand the world around us, develop critical and analytical skills, make decisions, and contribute to societal progress. Additionally, academic knowledge serves as the basis for innovation, scientific and technological advancements, as well as the training of highly qualified professionals in various fields.

We firmly believe that the dissemination of academic knowledge is essential for sharing discoveries, ideas, and information with a wide audience. After all, this enables more people to access it, allowing for an expansion of collective understanding on various subjects. Furthermore, the dissemination of this knowledge promotes healthy debate, encourages questioning, and stimulates the development of new perspectives and solutions to complex challenges. This not only enriches society but also fosters collaboration among coordinators, educators, and professionals from different areas, driving advances and progress.

That is why our journal was born, as we strongly believe in the importance of academic knowledge as a basis for a deeper understanding of the world around us. Every article, every research, and every reflection published here is the result of the joint effort of researchers and scholars committed to exploring, questioning, and discovering.

The dissemination of knowledge, which we build together here, promotes a connection between the rigor of academic research and the enrichment of society as a whole. With the aim of making all this knowledge increasingly accessible to any individual seeking it, we not only share discoveries and ideas but also stimulate constructive dialogue, inspiring new perspectives and approaches to complex challenges. Our journal is a space dedicated to the publication and promotion of academic debate in different areas, thus it is interdisciplinary.

Peer Review Process

• The evaluation methodology adopted by this journal is the double-blind peer review system, where each article is reviewed by at least two reviewers. In case of differing opinions between these two reviewers, a third will be consulted to resolve the issue.

• All articles submitted to this journal will undergo a thorough analysis and merit judgment process by external reviewers. Authors will be notified about the acceptance or rejection of their works after this process.

• In case an article is rejected, the author will have the opportunity to submit the same work for evaluation in the next edition.

• Before being sent for peer review, authors need to submit a Letter of Originality and Rights Transfer, signed by all authors. This letter must include the date, city, and signatures of all authors, as well as the following text: "We, (fill in the names of the authors, institutional link, CPF, and full address), authors of the article, declare the originality of this protected document and guarantee that it has not been submitted to another journal nor will it be, if accepted and published by the Cognitionis Scientific Journal."

• The maximum number of authors allowed per article is 6.

• Accepted languages are: Portuguese, English, and Spanish.

• Plagiarism: All received articles undergo a preliminary evaluation by the editor-in-chief. In case of suspicion of plagiarism, the article is automatically rejected.

• Upon publication, authors grant copyright and publication rights of their articles to the Cognitionis Scientific Journal.

• The Cognitionis Scientific Journal, in motivated situations, extends priority invitations for articles presented at renowned conferences, both national and international. In these occasions, the responsibility for not publishing the article in another journal lies solely with the authors, and it is not the responsibility of the Cognitionis Scientific Journal to verify if the article has been published in another journal.

• The maximum time between article submission, evaluation, and issuance of the initial opinion is 30 days.

Parameters for Article Evaluation

Reviewers should fill out the following, using a 5-point Likert scale (strongly disagree, disagree, neither agree nor disagree, agree, strongly agree):

• Relevance, originality, and clarity of the theme are easily understood.

• Clarity of the proposed objectives and formulation of the research question.

• Evaluation of the literature review conducted.

• Rigor and adequacy of the methodology employed.

• Evaluation of data analysis, results obtained, and discussions conducted.

• Considerations and conclusions drawn.

• Evaluation of the scientific contribution complemented by the work.

• Evaluation of the formatting and organization of the textual content.

At the end of the evaluation, reviewers should select one of the following options: accept; accept with minor modifications; accept with substantial modifications; send for reevaluation; reject; and provide a detailed justification for the decision made.
